Community Connection

AWE provides a range of classes, workshops, and events to support forced migrants on their path to integration and self-sufficiency within their new community. Our services include:

  • ESL, job readiness, and financial literacy trainings
  • Health and wellness, computer, parenting, and cultural orientation classes
  • Community mentor program
  • Client leadership program 
  • Client led classes and activities
  • Partnerships with community organizations and dedicated volunteers
  • Community gardening 
  • Cooking classes and community meals
  • Orientations to public services including libraries and the public transit system
